When you arrive, there are multiple parking areas. There is one in front of the museum, and one in back. RV/bus parking is on the side of the museum between the two parking lots.

You will go to the museum building to buy your tickets to tour the museum and Hayes Home.

When you get into the building, you will turn to your left and see the front desk where you will purchase your tickets. Restrooms are by the front desk.

In the museum, there are some interactive exhibits.

There is an elevator in the museum that can be used to go between floors.

The Hayes Home is located directly next to the museum and is a short walk up the driveway.

You can enter by the front porch, which has seven steps, or through a handicapped-accessible lift located at the rear of the home.

Inside the home, the first floor is handicapped accessible. The second-floor has three steps. There is an elevator for those who have walkers or limited mobility. It does not fit wheelchairs. There is a video of the second-floor that visitors are welcome to watch. The second-floor mostly represents the later generations of the Hayes family and is a small portion of the tour. Most of the tour takes place on the first floor.
