Teen Museum Council (TMC)

Mission: To foster a creative environment for students that opens new insights into and opportunities within the public history field that further their future education and careers

If you are looking for a rewarding way to gain leadership experience, gather knowledge of board operations, collaborate with community partners and learn about the world of museums and nonprofit organizations, then TMC may be for you!

   

Objectives: The goal of Teen Museum Council is to provide excellent educational opportunities that encourage and enable students in northwest Ohio to have a voice in their community’s history and heritage sector by giving members the chance to create inclusive and innovative programs, events and initiatives with the guidance of HPLM staff.

Fast Facts:

  • TMC meets monthly on the third Sunday of the month, 3:00-4:30pm. Dates may vary.
  • $25 fee (financial assistance available)
  • Members must complete a capstone project in the spring semester.

TMC members must be in grades 9-12 and live in Northwest Ohio.  We encourage you to apply for membership in TMC!
