At left you will find a series of writings the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums has digitized and made available online. Among the writings are the transcribed text of President Hayes' diaries (which he kept from age 12 on), his journal of work done on the grounds of his beloved Spiegel Grove estate ("Our Home"), letters written during the Civil War by the President's wife Lucy

Also included are digitized journals of Ohio Civil War soldiers, transcribed audiotapes of 1973 interview with WWI Marine Elton Mackin of Norwalk, Ohio, and the Spanish American War diaries of Clarence C. Childs of Fremont, Ohio.
