Hayes Presidential Library & Museums Photo and Video Policy
These policies apply to visitors who want to take photos and videos inside any of the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums facilities.
Members of the media – including internet, TV, print and radio journalists and social media influencers - wishing to set up taking video for publication purposes are asked to contact Marketing/Communications Manager Kristina Smith at 419-332-2081, ext. 217, or [email protected]
Hayes Home Photo/Video Policy for visitors:
Photos taken on tours of the Hayes Home are allowed, as long as they do not use flash.
Video of a tour is prohibited unless permission is granted in advance by the executive director or marketing/communications manager.
Museum Photo/Video Policy for visitors:
Photos without flash are allowed, as well as short videos of artifacts or displays. Please do not video other visitors without their permission.
Event Photo/Video Policy for visitors:
Photos of events are allowed on most occasions. There could be some events where photos are prohibited, and Hayes Presidential would make clear to participants not to take photos.
Video of ticketed events is prohibited unless permission is granted in advance by the executive director or marketing/communications manager.
Library/manuscript photo policy for visitors/researchers:
Photos of the library reading room and artifacts are allowed, as long as they do not use flash.
Photos and videos of research materials are prohibited. Researchers can make photocopies on the copier in the library.
