Brush, pet mini horses at Spiegel Grove Stroll on Oct. 13
Enjoy a calming experience of seeing, brushing and petting mini horses during the Spiegel Grove Stroll on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Spiegel Grove, grounds of the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums and an accredited arboretum.
Mini Wish Equine Wellness of Arcadia will bring miniature horses to the Spiegel Grove Stroll from noon to 1 p.m. The experience is free.
The horses will be in a designated area, and those walking dogs are asked to keep them outside of that space.
Spiegel Grove Stroll is a walking club that meets on Tuesdays through Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Walking times are 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.1
Strollers can check in at the steps by the columns on the north side of the museum.
This community initiative brings together wellness and connection on the 25-acre wooded grounds, which are the former estate of 19th U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes and First Lady Lucy Hayes.
The Spiegel Grove Stroll encourages walkers to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of walking while engaging with the historic and natural beauty of the Grove. Spiegel Grove has mile of paved trails and is dog friendly. Walkers are asked to clean up after their pets.
Throughout the Spiegel Grove Stroll season, participants will be invited to return regularly, track their walks and celebrate milestones with small incentives that help foster healthy habits, connection and a sense of community.
Strollers receive a wrist band on their first stroll and a T-shirt on their 12th.
