Two performances remain in the Verandah Concert season
The remaining performances in the Verandah Concert season feature a brass instruments choir and a big band playing World War II era tunes.
The Terra Brass Choir will play on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and the North Coast Big Band will perform tunes from the 1940s on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Admission is free.
Each event begins with an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. Donations can be made for the ice cream but are not required. Performances start at 7 p.m.
The concerts take place the verandah of the historic home of 19th U.S. President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes, and concertgoers are asked to bring a chair or blanket for seating on the expansive lawn.
Verandah Concerts are sponsored by Fremont Federal Credit Union. Additional funding is by ProMedica Memorial Hospital.
