Spend an evening with Mary Shelley, author of "Frankenstein"

On Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Wednesday, Oct. 28, spend the evening with a living history presenter portraying “Frankenstein” author Mary Shelley in the Hayes Home.

The event is at 6:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are $35 for non-members and $30 for Hayes Presidential members and are coming soon.

Teenage mother, behind-the-scenes supporter of social reform, romantic, and scholar, English writer Shelley may be best known as the author of “Frankenstein,” but there is much more to be learned about her, both personally and psychologically. Hear living history presenter Susan Marie Frontczak describe how Shelley blended themes and events from her own life with a vivid imagination to construct one of the world’s most enduring novels.
