Band new to Spiegel Grove, returning favorite play July Verandah Concerts
The Verandah Concerts in July at the Hayes Presidential Library and Museums will feature the Polish American Concert Band in its first appearance at Spiegel Grove and returning favorite Bridge County Bluegrass Band.
The Polish American Concert Band from the Toledo Area will perform American marches and traditional Polish music on Wednesday, July 8. The Bridge County Bluegrass Band will perform bluegrass music on Wednesday, July 22.
Admission is free.
Each event begins with an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. Donations can be made for the ice cream but are not required. Performances start at 7 p.m.
The concerts take place the verandah of the historic home of 19th U.S. President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes, and concertgoers are asked to bring a chair or blanket for seating on the expansive lawn.
Verandah Concerts are sponsored by Fremont Federal Credit Union. Additional funding is by ProMedica Memorial Hospital.
