Verandah Concert series brings new bands, returning favorites to Spiegel Grove

The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums is bringing two new bands to its Verandah Concert series this summer: a Polish-American band playing heritage music and American marches and a vocal acoustic group.

The Polish American Concert Band from the Toledo Area and All Strung Out from Fremont are the two new acts coming to Spiegel Grove for the Verandah Concert series. They join familiar favorites who have played in the past during the series for a full lineup of diverse genres – from bluegrass to big band tunes.

The popular concerts take place twice a month on Wednesdays on the verandah of the historic home of 19th U.S. President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes. Admission is free.

Each event begins with an ice cream social at 6:30 p.m. Donations can be made for the ice cream but are not required. Performances start at 7 p.m.

The 2026 Verandah Concert schedule is:

  • June 10 – Fostoria Community Band, playing concert band music
  • June 24 – All Strung Out, performing vocal heavy acoustic music
  • July 8 – Polish American Concert Band, playing American Marches and traditional Polish music
  • July 22 – Bridge County Bluegrass Band, playing bluegrass music
  • Aug. 5 – Terra Brass Choir, playing brass instruments
  • Aug. 19 – North Coast Big Band, performing toe-tapping tunes of the World War II era

Verandah Concerts are sponsored by Fremont Federal Credit Union. Additional funding by ProMedica Memorial Hospital.

If there is inclement weather, concerts could be canceled. For updates, visit rbhayes.org or call 800-998-7737. Updates also will be posted on the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums’ social media pages.
