Trace your family history with public genealogy classes at Hayes Presidential Library

Learn how to trace your family history using various resources with public genealogy classes offered this year at the Hayes Presidential Library.

Beginning Genealogy is offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Feb. 16, and Using Land and Deed Records is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3.

Although the library is closed to the public those days, Hayes Presidential librarians will welcome attendees who pre-register for the class.

Admission for each class is $15 per person for non-members and is $12 per person for Hayes Presidential members. Tickets are available below. Members will need to log in to receive their discount. 

During Beginning Genealogy, participants will learn how to begin tracing their family history, what resources are available and how to use those resources. This class is designed for individuals who have little or no experience in family history research.

Hayes Presidential is America’s first presidential library and the forerunner of the federal presidential library system.
