For safety, please keep painted rocks off lawn at Spiegel Grove

 The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums really appreciates the joy and fun the painted rocks left at Spiegel Grove bring to people. 

However, if they are left in the grass or in walkways, they could become hazards for the site’s mowers – damaging the mower and/or turning the rocks into a projectile – or a trip hazard.

 At this time, Hayes Presidential is asking that only a few rocks be left here and that they be left in places off the lawn or in potential trip areas. A few can be clearly left out of the way of lawn mowers and pedestrians.

If the rocks become a problem or pose a danger, Hayes Presidential will have to discontinue allowing them here at Spiegel Grove. Hayes Presidential thanks you for your understanding and help in this matter.
