Ten breweries and two wineries will offer samples, and guests can enjoy a cocktail during the eighth-annual Craft Beers, Cocktails & Corks at Spiegel Grove on Saturday, Aug 22.
The event is from 4 to 8 p.m. on the grounds of the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums. The VIP ticketed experience returns for its third year and will begin at 3 p.m.

Hear stories of Bob Seger, the Beach Boys and other musicians of the 1960s and ‘70s performing in the Fremont area and more during a special event on Thursday, April 23, at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.
J. Brennan Willis, director of music and technology at Terra State Community College, will give a presentation at 6:30 p.m. in the museum auditorium on the special exhibit he organized, “Sounds of Sandusky County.” The exhibit is on display at Hayes Presidential through Monday, May 25.

This year, tree tour guide John Havens, Hayes Presidential Library & Museums building and grounds superintendent, will dress in colonial garb and add some early American tree history to the tours in honor of America’s semiquincentennial, or 250th birthday this year.

A century after a handful of colonists declared their independence from Great Britain, the growing United States celebrated its success at the democratic experiment in grand fashion.
The Philadelphia Centennial Exposition was a world’s fair that demonstrated the young American republic’s innovations in science, agriculture, industry and the arts. The 6-month long event attracted prominent speakers from across the country, including the Republican candidate for president, Rutherford B. Hayes.
With the United States celebrating 250 years of the American experiment, the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums remembers the 150th anniversary of the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition with the special exhibit “Welcome to the World’s Fair: Philadelphia 1876.”
This exhibit shares the history of the exposition, discusses its impact on American culture and society and displays artifacts from the exposition. Accompanying the Centennial exhibit, the museum also features a gallery of artifacts from its collection from the American Revolution in homage to 250 years of American independence.
History Roundtable will focus on colonial history as America celebrates its 250th birthday

From the signers of the Declaration of Independence to under-told stories of men and women behind the American Revolution to the downfall of Alexander Hamilton, History Roundtable will have a colonial American focus this fall.
The popular series, led by retired educator Mike Gilbert, returns for its 13th season and will focus on topics highlighting early American History in celebration of the United States’ semiquincentennial celebration this year. Gilbert researches each topic and presents fascinating stories of the past.
