Event Description

Nine breweries and three wineries will offer samples during the sixth annual Craft Beers, Cocktails & Corks at Spiegel Grove on Saturday, Aug. 24, on the grounds of the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums.

New this year, Hayes Presidential has expanded the hours of the event and is also adding a special VIP ticketed experience.

Participants can enjoy beer and wine samples, as well as a flight of sample cocktails created by Hayes Presidential staff, food truck fare, live music by the Bridge County Bluegrass Band and raffles.

The event has been extended by an hour and is from 4 to 8 p.m.

The VIP experience begins at 3 p.m. and includes a VIPs-only tent with seating, hors d’oeuvres, three drinks not included in the main event, a commemorative pint glass, 10 tickets to redeem for beer and wine samples during the main event and a flight of cocktail samples. The VIP tent will be open to VIP ticket holders throughout the evening.

Participating breweries are Brewing Green of Bowling Green, Buffalo Rock of Waterville, Double Wing Brewing of Cleveland, Earnest Brew Works of Toledo, Oncore Brewing of Swanton, Findlay Brewing Co. of Findlay, Hoptometry Brewing of Tiffin, Maumee Bay Brewing Co. of Toledo and Twin Oast Brewing of Catawba Island. (Full beer list at the bottom of this page)

Participating wineries are Chateau Winery of Helena, Copper Whale Winery of Clyde and White Stag Winery of Gibsonburg.  (Full wine list at the bottom of this page)

Food trucks Jimmy G’s BBQ, Captain’s Kitchen, Cheat Day Donuts and Queso Kitchen will be on site. Food truck fare is not included with admission price.

The first 200 to buy tickets that include alcohol samples receive a commemorative pint glass. Designated driver tickets are not eligible for this promotion.

Seating is limited, so attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and can spread out on the shady and expansive grounds. Attendees must be 21 years old or older and have valid ID.

VIP tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, and cost $100 per person.

General admission tickets purchased in advance of the event by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, are:

• Beer and wine only - $30 for non-members and $25 for Hayes Presidential members.
• Beer, wine and cocktail flight - $40 for non-members and $35 for Hayes Presidential members.

General admission tickets purchased after 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, are:

• Beer and wine only - $35 for non-members and $30 for Hayes Presidential members.
• Beer, wine and cocktail flight - $45 for non-members and $40 for Hayes Presidential members.

Designated driver tickets, which include pop and water, are $10 for both non-members and members.
