Our volunteers are our strength
The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums has numerous volunteer opportunities for people interested in history, the presidency, genealogy and more. Volunteers are a critical part of special events and other operations, and their contributions are greatly appreciated.
Our volunteers help with:
- Serving as museum docents giving museum tours to groups
- Serving Christmas Dinners at Spiegel Grove
- Hayes Easter Egg Roll
- Verandah Concerts
- Independence Day Concert
- Exhibit openings
- Kids events
- Numerous other events
- Working in the Museum Store
- Research assistants in the Hayes Library, Manuscripts Department and development, marketing and business offices.
Volunteers are a critical part of HPLM's many special events, from GroveFest to Civil War camp.
