The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library and Museums offers unpaid business department internships to undergraduate and graduate students majoring in any business degrees, communications, marketing and related disciplines. Ideally, students should have an interest in pursuing a career in, Marketing, Development, or Museum Management. It is beneficial to students to have good oral communication, work well with others, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

Work Experience 
The internship offers opportunities for students to acquire skills and experience outside the traditional academic setting. The opportunity allows students to learn each business departments’ task. The intern will be able to explore ways to be creative and find solutions. The intern will also have the ability to assist with many departments and projects.

 

Schedule 
Interns must have reliable transportation to and from the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums. Hours are flexible according to your schedule.

 

Course credit 
Most internships require 110 to 130 hours of work over the course of one but not more than two semesters. If course credit is to apply to the internship, students should make arrangements with the individual instructor.
