How to Order Obituaries from the Guernsey County Library
The charge for an obituary sent via email (scanned at 300 dpi in jpeg or pdf form - patron's preference) is free of charge. The charge to receive a paper copy via postal mail is $.25 per obituary (not per person - some people have several obits).
Please include all information found in the citation, including name of the deceased, date of death, and name of the newspaper (or other source of obituary). Also please include the name, address, telephone number or e-mail of the person making the request.

The Guernsey County Library also has the microfilm for the following newspapers: Noble County Leader, 1899-1961; Cumberland Echo, 1899-1952; Barnesville Whetstone, 1894-1970, Quaker City Hometowner, 1933-1974; and the Guernsey Times, 1860-1899, but these newspapers are not indexed. We will search within a 2-week timeframe, provided an exact date-of-death is given.
