How to Order Obituaries from the Geauga County Public Library
The charge is $3.00 per obituary (not per person - some people have several obituaries).
Please cite all the information found in the index, including name, maiden name (where applicable), newspaper name, date of paper, page and column numbers, and date of death. Include your full contact information: name, address, e-mail, and phone. State your preference as to whether you want the document(s) scanned and e-mailed or sent by mail.
Mail request with a check made out to "Geauga County Public Library" for amount - (number of obituaries or other items X $3.00).

The genealogy staff will mail or e-mail your copies after payment is received. Copies will be sent as soon as possible.
Researchers can visit the Anderson Allyn Room in the Chardon Library in person and look up the obituary. It is recommended that you call 440-285-7601 and make an appointment ahead of time with the genealogist since the obituaries are in several locations. The cost for looking them up yourself is the copy charge.
