How to Order Obituaries from the Logan County Libraries

The Charge is $2.50 per obituary. Please limit obituary requests to ten names. Upon receipt of the completed request, you may request ten more names.

The request must include the newspaper name or abbreviation, date, page, and column.

Mail requests with a check or money order made out the Logan County Libraries for the amount: (number of obits x $2.50).

Requests may be made via email to [email protected] or by fax at 937-599-5503 or by telephone at 937-599-4189. There is no credit card option. The check or money order will have to be mailed and received before the research is initiated.

The obituaries will be mailed as soon as Staff locate them and will attempt to complete the request within a week of the receipt of the patron’s check or money order.

Staff will do other genealogy/local history research requests for information other than obituaries for the cost of the copies and postage. A complete mailing address must be included. Limited staff time prevents us from undertaking extensive research for patrons, and we may refer your request to a local researcher for more lengthy searches.

All requests are answered on a “first come, first served” basis.

All researchers are welcome to visit the Logan County Libraries in person. Copies of the obituaries on site are $0.20 each since you do the look-ups! For information about hours and location, try their website: http://www.logancountylibraries.org/
