Kids Days @ Hayes – Earth Day

Event Description

Kids will explore Spiegel Grove, the grounds of Hayes Presidential Library & Museums, and look for wildlife, trees. wildflowers and other plants during Kids Days @ Hayes Earth Day event on Saturday, April 24.

They will also learn about the formation of U.S. national parks and the importance of preserving natural spaces.

Kids Days is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and will begin in the museum auditorium.
Guest speaker Andrew Van Camp, who works in education outreach at Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial, a national park at Put-in- Bay, will discuss invasive species and marine debris. Hayes Presidential staff members also will talk about wildlife observation and national parks.

Then kids and staff will go outside and observe nature at Spiegel Grove.

Admission is $5 for Hayes Presidential members at the major level and higher and $7 for non-members. There is no cost for adults who bring kids to this program.

The RSVP deadline is 3 p.m. Friday, April 23.
