Fremont, Ohio

Friends and neighbors:  You hear my voice so often that I am sure you will be glad that I have no speech to make in introducing to you the chosen candidate of the Republican party for President.  All I have to say is give him three rousing cheers of welcome!

(The following prepared but not delivered)

I am glad to have an opportunity to unite with you in the purpose which has brought together this large assemblage of the people of Fremont and of this part of Sandusky County.  You have come together to do honor to the Candidate for the Presidency of one of the great political parties of the Country.  You have assembled to see him, to hear him, to exchange friendly greetings with him and to give him a hearty Ohio welcome.  Friends and Neighbors I have the honor to introduce to you James G. Blaine.
