Dine like a President in the home of one
A menu from a 19th-century White House state dinner.
A dinner served in the 31-room mansion of a U.S. President.
These are ingredients for one of the country's most extraordinary fund-raising events ... Christmas Dinners at Spiegel Grove.
This elegant dining adventure takes place 6:30-10:30 p.m. December 4, 5 and 6 in the mansion of 19th U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes. Seating still is available for Thursday and Saturday nights.
Your memorable evening begins with a horse-drawn carriage ride from your car to the carriage entrance of the Hayes Home. Costumed Civil War reenactors stand at attention waiting to assist you as you alight from the carriage. The tails of the butlers dinner jacket gently sway as he opens the door and bids you to enter the Presidential residence. A bevy of maids see to every need as you begin your Victorian experience that includes entertainers, carolers, wassail, the six-course feast based on menus served during the Hayes administration, and a variety of entertainment throughout dinner.
If you are searching for a truly unique Christmas gift for someone important in your life, Christmas Dinners at Spiegel Grove is certain to provide a present that will never be forgotten.
