Return to Volunteers

A foursome (and a friend) head for the point of play during a croquet match in Spiegel Grove.
Get into the swing with Croquet!

As the saying goes, "what's old is new again." That certainly is the case with the sport of Croquet. Across the country croquet clubs are being formed in neighborhoods, fitness facilities and golf courses. The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums Croquet Club was organized in 2009. The club offers practice play twice a month with twice-monthly members tournaments in between. Play occurs on a pair of croquet courts on the Hayes Home lawn.

A player eyes up his next move during croquet play at the Hayes Presidential Center.Annual membership is $25 per person or $40 per couple. HPLM provides all the equipment and maintains the croquet courts. Members are free to use the courts at any time, but must reserve them by calling 419-332-2081. Members also may invite non-members to play at HPLM's courts, but must be present during play (there is a $5 fee for each non-member).

To find out more stop by during one of the below play dates. If you are really interested our members might even be able to provide an impromptu lesson.

New this year, HPLM has added two days where guests can play for free.
