Just a note to say how much I enjoyed Mike Gilbert's talk last Saturday. He has such an engaging style and truly knows how to bring history to life for an audience.
... I learned a great deal about Mr. Buckland that I likely wouldn't have heard anywhere else. Any man who can speak ancient languages while navigating rivers has my new-found respect!
Thank you for organizing the Roundtable talks - such a wonderful opportunity for those of us lucky enough to attend.

I went through the house again in July. I truly loved it! The guide was great too! She knew everything! I grew up in Fremont! I am proud of the Hayes House! God bless U for keeping it great! Kathy Burke Gonya

“Amazing staff at the R. B. Hayes Center” from TripAdvisor

The top three attractions for Fremont are the Presidential Center, the museum and the library. I'm not sure where to put my review of the incredible library staff who aid out-of-town and local genealogists do research. I travel here a couple times a year, purchased a membership this year, and am always impressed with the resources and staff at this library. Although I only see it in passing, the home and grounds are also incredibly beautiful and worth a visit whether you are interested in genealogy/history or not. The museum which I did quickly visit is excellent as well. The library does not have an admission fee.

I want to tell you how much I enjoyed my visit (not my first) to the R. B. Hayes Presidential Center this past Sunday. I was the only person on the 3:30, and the guide (who has conducted at least one other tour of which I was a part) and I had a very nice time together. I had the chance to ask many questions that I might not have thought of in a larger tour.
Also, I visited the "Buckeye President" exhibit. I thought the video on one-room schools was just fantastic. Congratulations. I also enjoyed the many panels as well.
I'm sure I will visit again before the end of summer. The Presidential Center is one of my favorite Ohio sites. I've always regarded President Hayes as a good man and a very good president.

The work the RBH Presidential Ctr does is a most valuable resource!
