Reinhard Grob Photograph Collection
GROB PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTION
The Grob Collection consists of over two thousand glass plate negatives of formal studio portraits of children, couples, grandparents, babies, and family groups. They demonstrate remarkable clarity and technical accomplishment. Many represent baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and family gatherings of Fremont and Sandusky County residents. The images span a relatively small time period, circa 1900 to 1910 The identification on each envelope generally indicates the individual who ordered the photograph rather than the person(s) in the image. Grob marked each envelope with the day and month of the order. By using other sources, it may be possible to determine the year the photograph was taken. The Grob Collection envelopes contain the names, photo order dates (month and day), numbers, and some miscellaneous information that Grob placed on individual envelopes. Below is a alphabetical list of the photos.
