Stacks of books like those needed sit in front of a 19th Century photograph of President Hayes in the Library of the Hayes Home.Have your old books be a part of history!

The historically accurate restoration of the Hayes Home is complete, but the Center still is in need of books!

Restoring the Library, Inner Sanctum, and Drawing Room in the Home meant adding back book shelves removed the Home's long history. To fill the additional shelves, the Center is seeking old books dating before 1900 (ie. the President's lifetime or earlier) and in good condition. Several thousand books still are needed!

If you have old books which meet these criteria that you would be willing to donate, please bring them to the reception desk in the Hayes Museum. They will be evaluated and, if accepted, will become a part of history by being on permanent display in the Hayes Home.
