Enjoy a sleigh ride even without snow

A sleigh equipped with flip-down wheels make it possible for sleigh rides without snow!Mother Nature may have decided to provide a rainy Christmas for Ohio this year, but you can take a Sleigh Ride through Spiegel Grove no matter the weather. Tim Myers of South Creek Clydesdales has equipped his sleigh with flip-down wheels and will offer rides between 1-4 p.m. on Dec. 26-29 and Dec. 31. Cost is $3 per rider.

The rides provide the chance to experience days gone by, when horses were the main means of transportation. President Hayes and his family traveled by sleigh, often enjoying leisurely rides through the grounds of their Spiegel Grove estate. Even if there is no snow, attendees still will experience a sleigh ride.

Tickets for Sleigh Rides through Spiegel Grove are sold the days of the event in the Museum lobby. Riders are reminded to dress for the weather.
