Sleigh rides offer a presidential experience
The Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center, home of the nations FIRST presidential library, celebrates Presidents' Day by offering visitors a chance to travel in presidential style.
Nineteenth U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes lived at a time when horse-drawn vehicles were the main mode of transportation. Cost is $3 per rider.
In addition to the sleigh/carriage rides, both the Hayes Home and Hayes Museum are open for tours from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 16 and noon-5 p.m. Feb. 17 & 18. (Although the Center usually is closed on Mondays, in honor of Presidents' Day it WILL BE open Feb. 18.)
