Ohio Obituary Index

“Many thanks for the obit: brilliant service and the obit contains a totally new link for my family tree” John of Colchester, England

“As a staff member of a Family History Center…when I work with someone who has Ohio ancestry, one of the first online research steps we take is to access your obituary collection. Thank you and the other staff members for your time and effort in making this valuable genealogical tool available” Joan of Boise, ID

Our Obit Index has made a difference in the lives of many researchers. With over 2 million names indexed, it may be time to re-check it and make sure something new has not been added recently. Our partner libraries and vast army of volunteers across the state keep inputting new data every day. Thanks to all of them!

A new update has been given to and should show up integrated into their website in the next few months. We hope that will soon add the update given to them in November 2011. Regardless, our website is free and is always the most up-to-date.
