Head Librarian Becky Hill will expand the genealogy class schedule offered by the Hayes Presidential Center by adding a new session on the genealogical software, RootsMagic. This software is used by the Center for the Hayes family genealogy in-house and online and is sold in the Museum store. Unlike previous years when Bruce Buzbee, the author of RootsMagic, visited Hayes and explained advanced features of the software, this class will focus on basics - how to start entering your data into the program and how to share what you have entered.

Using computers to store your genealogical materials is an excellent way to get organized and allows you to share your information with other researchers or relatives, whether by email or at a reunion.

The software ($29.95) and accompanying book ($14.95) will be sold at the Hayes Museum Store at a special, discounted price for the class.
