Return to Internship Opportunities

Jessica Maiberger - Intern 2011

Jessica Maiberger: Villanova

Jessica Maiberger

Jessica Maiberger returned to the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center to complete the internship requirement for her master’s degree. Jessica volunteered in the fall of 2009 at the Center, assisting with cataloging the Victorian doll house furniture.

Jessica digitized more than two dozen speeches given by President Rutherford B. Hayes. She gained knowledge in the fundamentals of Archival Administration while working with the Fremont News-Messenger online digital collection which included managing metadata and digitally archiving images.

Originally from Tiffin, Ohio, Jessica received her undergraduate degrees in History and Education (AYA: Social Studies) from Heidelberg College. She is currently in the final year of completing her masters in history with an American History concentration from Villanova University near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her area of interest includes late nineteenth and early twentieth century American History.

After graduation in the summer of 2012, Jessica hopes to return to Ohio and use her education and the skills she has gained at the Hayes Presidential Center to further her professional aspirations in the museum or library field.
