Carl Brown

Carl Brown of Huron, Ohio is a recent graduate from the University of Exeter, U.K., with a Masters Degree in War and Society. He previously graduated from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan in 2007 with a major in History and in Art. His area of primary study is Europe since 1815 with an emphasis on the perception of non-western civilizations and their military capabilities.

During his internship with the Manuscripts Division, Carl is processing some of the Hayes Presidential Center's Gilded Age collections; creating finding aids for uploading to the Center's website; scanning pictures and entering metadata for the online local history image database; and conducting research on some of President Hayes' contemporaries.
