Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Event Title: The War of 1812 on the Ohio Frontier
Event Description: In commemoration of the bicentennial of the War of 1812, the Hayes Museum presents an exclusive exhibit detailing Northwest Ohio’s influential role in turning the War of 1812 from a defeat to victory. Artifacts and manuscripts from the Hayes Presidential Center Collections, area museums and historical societies, and the private collection of Lou Schultz offer insights into the war’s battles fought on the Ohio frontier. Made possible through sponsorship from the Sidney Frohman Foundation.

Time: 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM
Event Title: GroveFest
Event Description: The Hayes Presidential Center’s summertime family event 'GroveFest' is all new for 2013. This year’s daytime activities focus on nature and the outdoors to better highlight the grounds of Spiegel Grove, which is a state park. 'GroveFest' is sponsored by The Fremont Company. Daytime activities take place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. throughout Spiegel Grove. Celebrity auctioneer Jerry Anderson of Toledo’s WTOL-TV headlines the 'Bid at the Grove' Auction scheduled for 6-10 p.m. in a reception tent located in the Lucy Hayes Rose Garden. Admission to daytime events is free of charge. The 'Bid at the Grove' auction is a major fundraiser for the Hayes Presidential Center. Tickets are $100 per person, with discounts available for those reserving entire tables (table of eight/$90 per person or tables of 10/$85 per person).

Time: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Event Title: Vintage Base Ball match
Event Description: The Hayes Presidential Center's vintage base ball club, the Spiegel Grove Squires, compete in the Sauder Village Cup vintage base ball tournament in Archbold, Ohio. All equipment, uniforms, and rules follow those in place during base ball's early years (when the game was spelled as two words, not one.) The Squires are sponsored by KF Construction & Excavating, LLC.
