Event Title: The War of 1812 on the Ohio Frontier
Event Description: In commemoration of the bicentennial of the War of 1812, the Hayes Museum presents an exclusive exhibit detailing Northwest Ohio’s influential role in turning the War of 1812 from a defeat to victory. Artifacts and manuscripts from the Hayes Presidential Center Collections, area museums and historical societies, and the private collection of Lou Schultz offer insights into the war’s battles fought on the Ohio frontier. Made possible through sponsorship from the Sidney Frohman Foundation.

Time: 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Event Title: Searching Your Ohio Roots
Event Description: Hayes Presidential Center Head Librarian Becky Hill will concentrate on Ohio resources for tracking down your family in the Buckeye state – vital records, land records, printed and online materials. She will also touch on the migration patterns to the state. Pre-registration required. Cost is $10/adult, $5/students through high school. Sponsored by RootsMagic, Inc.

Time: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Event Title: Vintage Base Ball match
Event Description: The Hayes Presidential Center's vintage base ball club, the Spiegel Grove Squires, compete with the Stemtown Stinkers in a match of 1860s style base ball at Elmwood at the Springs in Green Springs. All equipment, uniforms, and rules follow those in place during base ball's early years (when the game was spelled as two words, not one.) The Squires are sponsored by KF Construction & Excavating, LLC.
