Event Description:
In honor of the Fourth of July holiday, the Hayes Presidential Center observes special "holiday hours." The Hayes Museum and Hayes Home are open from noon-5 p.m. The Hayes Library and business offices are CLOSED.

Hayes Croquet Club Tournament
Event Description:
Members of the newly-formed 'Hayes Croquet Club' host a tournament on the croquet courts located on the Hayes Home front lawn. Spectators welcome.

'First-Lady Style: White House Gowns'
Event Description:
The Center gathers more than two dozen gowns worn by America's First Ladies for this exclusive exhibit made possible by the Randolph J. & Estelle M. Dorn Foundation and the Walter E. Terhune Memorial Fund.

Event Title:
Independence Day Concert
Event Description:
Take part in a red, white, and BOOM celebration at the home of the nation's first presidential center! Civil War reenactors join the gifted musicians of the Toledo Symphony Concert Band in a rousing concert of patriotic and popular tunes. Cover your ears and hold onto your chair during performance of the "1812 Overture" which features cannon-fire accompaniment! Come early and enjoy refreshments. Don't forget to bring your own seat for this FREE outdoor event made possible by Crown Battery. Stick around after the concert to try your hand at a 'Wicket Shoot' - a game similar to a putting contest, but with croquet equipment.

Wicket Shoot Contest
Event Description:
The Hayes Presidential Center Croquet Club hosts a 'Wicket Shoot' immediately following the Toledo Symphony concert. For a small entry fee you can try your hand at hitting a croquet ball through the wicket. If your hit is the best, you win! (The Wicket Shoot is similar to a putting contest in golf).
