As a young man, Frederick A. Robbins moved to Bainbridge, NY and lived there for a number of years; about 1860 he left Bainbridge and for the next six years lived successively near Cincinnati and at Toledo, Ohio and Albion, Michigan. In 1866, he settled at Angelica, NY where he resided until his death.

|Ellen Sarah "Nellie S." Robbins was born on 4 May 1855 in Bainbridge, Chenango Co., NY. She died on 9 January 1924 in Jamaica Plains, Suffolk Co., MA. She was buried in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester, MA. She was prominent in Christian Science circles in Jamaica Plains. Her early years were spent in Madisonville, OH; Albion, MI; and Angelica, NY. She was for a time city missionary in connection with the Judson Memorial Church, NY; engaged in kindergarten work at Mt Vernon and Washington, DC; and from 1909 to 1915 was librarian of the Christian Science Reading Room in Winchester, MA. Later years she resided in Mt. Vernon, NY. She did not marry.|
