He died on 2 February 1860 in Fremont, Sandusky Co., OH.4 Upon John Pease's death, Oscar Ball of Fremont was appointed guardian of his minor children, April 1, 1869. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont, Sandusky Co., OH. He was a hardware merchant. He emigrated to Ohio in 1835 and settled in Fremont, OH. He became a tinsmith in Fremont. He was a Democrat and he liked to gamble.
