785. Mary McLellan was born on 6 April 1848 in North Adams, Berkshire Co., MA. She died on 12 October 1918 in Kuling, China. See Fremont Daily News, Oct. 19, 1918. She and her husband were missionaries in China since 1870. See Fremont Journal, Dec. 3, 1869

"They sailed a few months ago at this writing (8 Jan. 1871) for China where they expect to remain as missionaries. We hear of them in Shanghai by late letters"

Mary McLellan and Rev. George Field Fitch were married on 18 November 1869 in Vandalia, Fayette Co., IL. Married by Rev. J. M. Johnson They lived in Fremont, Sandusky Co., OH before 1870. Rev. George Field Fitch was born on 28 June 1845 in Avon, Lorain Co., OH. In 1882 he was a missionary in Shanghai, China.4 He died on 17 February 1923 in Shanghai, China. George graduated in Western Reserve College. He graduated in Lane Theological Seminary. Member of the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions.
