SPECIAL ELETION PROCLAMATION (2ND SENATORIAL DISTRICT)

In the Name and by the Authority of the State of Ohio, RUTHERFORD B. HAYES, Governor of said State.

 

To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:

 

To the several Sheriffs of Butler and Warren Counties, Greeting:

 

WHEREAS, Satisfactory information has been received at this Department that a vacancy exists in the office of Senator in the Second Senatorial District, composed of the counties of Butler and Warren, caused by the resignation of Lewis D. Campbell, you are hereby notified and directed to hold a special elections in said counties on the second Tuesday of October ensuing, at the usual place of holding the same therein, for the purpose of filling such vacancy; and you will give notice of the time and place of holding such election in your several proclamations.
