SAVINGS SOCIETY PROCLAMATION

Columbus, Ohio

 

To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:

 

KNOW YE, That whereas Peter Gibson, P. Mallon, John McPfaw, Francis Fritsch, Charles Fox, John McGregg, William Bramwell, John Holland and J. P. Von Seggem have filed in the office of the Board of Commissioners for Savings Societies, a certificate as required by law, and an application to establish a Savings Society under the name of the Miami Valley Savings Society of Cincinnati, with place of business in the city of Cincinnati and county of Hamilton, and said application having been approved by the Board of Commissioners for Savings Societies, and the requirements of the law passed April 16, 1867, having been fully complied with, I do hereby make Proclamation that the said Peter Gibson and others above named, are authorized to commence and carry on a Savings Society in the city of Cincinnati and county of Hamilton, under the name and style aforesaid, with all the rights and privileges, and under the obligations and regulations established by the laws of this State.

 

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Ohio to be affixed at Columbus, this 28th day of October in the year of our Lord, one thousand and eight hundred and sixty-eight, and of the Independence of the United States of America the ninety-third.
