SPEECH TO CINCINNATI BAR ASSOCIATION
February 10, 1877
MY FRIENDS OF THE CINCINNATI BAR ASSOCIATION: I am very glad to meet again with the members of this association, and make my profound acknowledgements to the committee for their kindness for inviting me to be present this evening. During the twelve years that I was a member of this bar, the recollections that I now have of that period - - which are the pleasantest - - are connected with what we called in 1874 the new Superior Court. The judges elected that year were Judge G. Holson, Judge Spencer, and Judge Storer. What a court that was! If it is proper to give a sentiment, allow me to give the memory of these judges - - G. Holson, Spencer, and Storer.
