SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION (HENRY AND PUTNAM COUNTIES)

To all whom these Presents shall come, Greeting:

To the Sheriffs of Putnam and Henry Counties, Greeting:

WHEREAS, Satisfactory evidence has been received at this Department that a vacancy exists in the office of Representative from the counties of Putnam and Henry, in the General Assembly of Ohio, caused by the death of Hon. H. J. Boehmer, you are hereby notified to hold a special election in said counties on Thursday, the 31st day of December, 1868, at the usual place of holding the same therein, for the purpose of filling such vacancy; and you will give notice of the time and place of holding such election in your proclamations.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Ohio to be affixed at Columbus, this 10th day of December, 1868.
