THANKSGIVING DAY PROCLAMATION

Columbus, Ohio

In compliance with a Joint Resolution of the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, adopted May 16th, 1867, and in accordance with the customs of our fathers, I do hereby appoint Thursday, the 26th day of November next, as a day of Public Thanksgiving to Almighty God, for his continued blessings vouchsafed to the people of Ohio.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Ohio to be affixed at Columbus, this 26th day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and sixty-eight, and of the Independence of the United States of America the ninety-third.
