SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION (COLUMBIANA COUNTY)

To all to whom these presents shall come, greeting:
To the Sheriff of Columbia county, greeting:
WHEREAS, Satisfactory evidence has been received at this Department that a vacancy exists in the office of Representative from the county of Columbia, in the General Assembly of Ohio, caused by the death of GARRETSON I. YOUNG. You are hereby notified to hold a special election in said county, on Thursday, the 16th day of February, 1871, ensuing, at the usual place of holding the same therein, for the purpose of filling such vacancy; and you will give notice of the time and place of holding such election in your proclamation.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Ohio to be affixed, at Columbus, this 31st day of January, 1871.
